Fisker Emerges from Bankruptcy with Renewed Funding
EV Startup Receives $25 Million Injection, Plans to Increase to $75 Million
After months of financial struggles, Fisker Inc. has filed for bankruptcy and secured additional funding to continue its operations.
The electric vehicle (EV) startup, founded by renowned vehicle designer Henrik Fisker, failed to secure financing from undisclosed sources, leading to the bankruptcy filing. However, the company has since received a $25 million injection from an existing investor and plans to raise an additional $50 million, bringing the total potential investment to $75 million.
Fisker has faced challenges in recent years, with its vehicles failing to meet production targets and financial difficulties. This is the second bankruptcy for an EV company founded by Fisker, who previously created Fisker Automotive, which also filed for bankruptcy in 2013.
Despite these setbacks, Fisker remains committed to its mission of creating "the world's most emotional and sustainable vehicles." The company is expected to release further details about its plans and financial restructuring in the coming weeks.
