JJ Redick Retires from NBA After 15 Seasons

Redick retires as Duke's all-time leading scorer
In a breaking news update, ESPN analyst and 15-year NBA veteran JJ Redick has announced his retirement from basketball. Redick, who was the National Player of the Year during his senior season at Duke University, retires as the Blue Devils' all-time leading scorer.
Redick was a highly recruited prospect coming out of high school and quickly became a star at Duke. He led the Blue Devils to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight in his sophomore season and the Sweet 16 in his junior season. Redick was named the National Player of the Year in his senior season after averaging 26.8 points per game.
Redick was selected 11th overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2006 NBA Draft. He played for seven seasons in Orlando before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013. Redick also played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Dallas Mavericks before retiring.
Redick finished his NBA career with averages of 12.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He was a two-time All-Star and helped the Clippers reach the Western Conference Finals in 2019. After retiring, Redick joined ESPN as an NBA analyst.
